Sing to the Lord: Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs

Sing to the Lord: Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs

Sing to the Lord: Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs

Come join us for a fun and unique concert focusing on three categories of traditional sacred texts.

Starting with the Old Testament psalms, we will perform classic works from Palestrina, Pitoni, and Viadana together with modern interpretations from John Rutter, Dan Davison, and Thomas Matthews. Our program also features a set of modern arrangements of traditional hymns, including selections from Robert Sterling, Mack Wilberg, and Mark Hayes. Finally, you will hear a diverse collection of spiritual songs, ranging from serene meditative works to rousing African-American spirituals to joyful anthems by G. F. Handel.

This concert is a celebration of the huge variety and power of sacred music. We hope you will join us April 16 in Lynnwood, or April 17 in Seattle!
